  • Human Rights Watch - A organization that reports on different human rights violations around the world.
  • Oxfam - This organization advocates for the poor and oppressed around the world.

  • Food Subtitutions - This is a very thorough site with a pictures and substitution suggestions for almost every unprepared food imaginable. This is a great resource.
  • The Fresh Loaf - a good bread making tutorial with pictures.
  • Sourdough Home - A site about sourdough bread. Includes very good instructions and a lot of tested recipes.
  • Fannie Farmer - The Boston Cooking-School Cookbook - A very old school textbook for cooking that is in the public domain

  • Baking 911 - This site is a wonderful baking tutorial. It explains baking in excruciating detail. Great for perfectionists and those who want to understand every step of baking.
